Post 16 Results

Congratulations to all Dyson Perrins students who have received their Post 16 results. We are delighted so many of our students achieved excellent grades and are now going on to some of the country’s top universities. These results are all the more remarkable considering the new and more challenging and rigorous examinations undertaken for the first time this year. It is a delight to share in our student’s successes and excitement about their futures and to hear personally from them how big a difference attending Dyson Perrins Academy has made to their aspirations. These results reflect the tremendous diligence of our students and we are all indebted to the unstinting support and inspiration of their teachers.

There were some excellent individual successes in Academic A level subjects including: Paige Pollard A* in Mathematics, A* in Further Mathematics, A in Chemistry and A* in EPQ, she is now going to study Mathematics at the University of Exeter. Frances Green A* in Biology, A in Chemistry and A in Mathematics and A* in EPQ, she is now going to study Medicine at the University of East Anglia. Grace Nethaway A* in Geography, A in English Literature, A in Biology and an A* in EPQ, she is now going to study Medicine at Manchester University.

Students following a Vocational pathway continue to thrive at Dyson Perrins Academy outperforming similar students nationally with an average grade of a Distinction, the highest grade possible, for the new Applied General Qualifications. Again this is despite the more rigorous content and assessment of these qualifications.

Acting Headteacher Peter Wallace stated “I am thrilled for the students and it is just reward for all of their continued hard work over the last two years. It is particularly pleasing to see students succeed in the facilitating academic subjects such as Mathematics where 83% of our students achieved A*-B grade and Chemistry where 100% of our students achieved an A*-B grade. I would like to thank the staff for their relentless approach to supporting the students and the fact that 100% of the students that applied to University have gained a place is testament to the quality of the advice and guidance given by Miss Watson our Head of Sixth Form.”
