Sixth Form students at Dyson Perrins C of E Academy were celebrating after another set of successful A – Level Results. The school met its overall targets and students who took vocational qualifications performed exceptionally well exceeding target related expectations. “I am delighted with our overall performance again this year. The results reflect the hard work of the students and their teachers. We were particularly pleased that the average grade across Vocational qualifications such as Law, IT and Performing Arts was a Distinction*. I am very proud of what we have achieved and would like to wish all of our students every success with their chosen next steps in further education or employment” said Headteacher Stuart Wetson.
Amongst the Individual students who enjoyed particular success were; Jamie Richards who achieved 3 Distinction* grades and he will now take up his offer to study Drama at UWE Bristol, Reece Green who gained 2 Distinction* grades and a Distinction, Ellie Philpotts who achieved 2 Distinction * grades and a Distinction in Sport. Jess Fenwick will now progress to the University of Worcester to pursue her Dance degree, Sam Robinson will read Computer Science at Aston University and Billie Townson will take up her place at Bath Spa University to start her Acting course.
There is much promise for the future too at Dyson Perrins as at AS a number of students performed particularly well in the new rigorous linear style examinations. Frances Green gained 1 A*, 3 A grades and a B, Paige Pollard 3 A grades and a B and Grace Nethaway 4 A grades.
