Headteacher's Update July 2016
As the end of term approaches, I am just writing to thank you for your support during what has been another very positive and successful academic year at Dyson Perrins CofE Academy.
In 2015/16, I believe we have really built on the successes of the previous year and firmly established ourselves as a ‘Good’ school in the local community and for all the current students and families who we serve. As Headteacher, my mandate remains clear; to continue building on our current status, address any areas for development and strive to be an outstanding academy which gets the best out of all who work and learn here.
Dyson Perrins is becoming a very popular choice again amongst families in Malvern and the surrounding area. Not only are we attracting increased numbers applying for places year on year but we are also attracting large numbers of students choosing to transfer across to us from other schools.
It was wonderful to welcome almost 300 Year 5 children to our recent ‘Taster’ day and I look forward to seeing them again with their families at our Open Evening and mornings in October.
I am very excited at the prospect of our new intake joining us in September. We have 135 children starting as Year 7 students and we aim to make their transition as smooth and happy as we possibly can. The fact that we are growing as a school is a reflection of the success we are achieving but we will not lose sight of the importance of our community and looking after all who come here.
