Students at KS3 complete a variety of mini projects covering the 6 new strands from the new and updated computing curriculum.
The 6 strands are: Algorithms, Programming and Development, Data and Data Representation, Hardware and Processing, Communications and Networks and Information Technology.
The work is accessible via the schools VLE. Students will be able to access, download and upload their work, which is marked online. Levels have now been replaced with colours, these start from Pink (Level 1), through to White (Level 8).
This course prepares them to meet deadlines, act upon targets and become more independent learners. Students have an excellent foundation for the next step at KS4 and will have skills that can be applied cross-curricular.
Excellent progression for GCSE Computer Science and KS4 ICT.
