Dyson Perrins Ducks go for the Guinness Book of Records
Here at Dyson Perrins we have an established eco-committee with 5 ducks, 2 rabbits and an eco garden and this year we are aiming to achieve eco-school status.
When Mrs Barker (head of year 7, teacher of Science) was listening to BBC radio 1, on Monday morning, and heard Greg James discussing Long Boi, the world’s tallest duck (now sadly deceased), she texted in, introducing Dyson's 3 tall runner ducks. 2 minutes later the producer of the show rang back inviting Mrs Barker to be interviewed by Greg James on the breakfast show. The interview aired at 9am on Wednesday 27th September, and Greg James requested that Dyson’s eco-committee (aka duck club) measure the 3 runner ducks the following day to see how they size up to Long Boi’s record.
Although they did not quite make the cut, Mrs Barker provided Greg James with the opportunity to grow his own Long Boi Indian runner duck with 5 of Dysons very own duck eggs. Greg James is considering this proposal. Mrs Barker also invited Greg to the Dyson Perrins open evening on Thursday 5th October (6pm-9pm) to meet the ducks and members of eco-committee in person. TBC.
